His Love Is Relentless

Updated: May 11, 2020

Everyone wants to be loved, whether by family, friends, or a spouse. We live our life aiming to please one another in order to show that we love and care. We want to be loved in return. Hearing those three words “I love you” can be so satisfying. However, we spend so much time chasing after love from mankind that we can overlook that, although we may not verbally hear those words from God, He shows us that He loves each of us more than words can say.

God’s love is a different type of love. God’s love for us is Relentless. Relentless love is constant and never-ending. This love will chase you, hunt for you, beg you and wait for you even in your reluctance, stubbornness, and disobedience. Being able to relentlessly love takes making sacrifices. We all know as stated in John 3:16, God made a big sacrifice to show us that He loves us so much. It is our duty to try our best to live the way God intends for us by showing relentless love to Him and everyone we come in contact with including family, friends, strangers, and enemies.

As we go on with our day, please keep 1 John 4:7-10 in our minds- “7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (NLT)
